Bright GAC Notice

U8 Gaelic football skills training has changed to a Thursday night, 5.45pm-6:45pm. All children P1 to P4 welcome, both boys and girls. We had a great turnout last week but we’ve space for a few more.
If your child has ever wanted to come and learn the basics of Gaelic football, please bring them along. Wear comfortable clothes and runners and bring £1 please.

St Joseph's is a feeder school for Bright GAC. Our pupils play on the Year 4, Year 6 and U-12 teams. Many of our past pupils are now members of their U-14, U-16 and Minor squads while some have progressed to play for the senior side.

*** Update - 27/6/17 ***

All pupils from P1 to P6 have been sent home today with registration forms and an information letter for this year's Cúl Camp at Bright GAC. Last year's camp was a huge success and the club are looking to build on this for 2017.
Parents/Guardians should note that all camp attendees that are classified as 'nursery' cannot register online.
Please follow the link provided to register your child online.

Update - August 2017

Congratulations to the Bright GAC U-12 team who won the East Down C League after a great win over Aughlisnafin.
It was fantastic to see nine current/past pupils of St Joseph's represented on the team.

*** Green and Yellow Day ***

On Friday 6th October, St Joseph's P.S. Killough, will be holding a 'Green and Yellow Day' in anticipation of Bright's Down Junior Football Championship Final appearance against Dundrum on Sunday 8th October in Páirc Esler, Newry.
Everyone is to come to school dressed in the colours of Bright. During the day we will be making posters, designing good luck cards, having a mini Gaelic Football tournament and hopefully some past pupils that are on the team might pop in to have a word.
It promises to be an exciting day as we wish Bright every success in their big match!
