*** Eco-Schools Green Flag Award ***
We’ve done it!
St Joseph’s are now officially a Green Flag school.
The Eco-Schools Green Flag is an internationally recognised award for excellence in environmental action and learning. We previously achieved our Bronze and Silver awards along the way which were self-accredited stepping stones.
Today the assessors visited the school to undertake the assessment process. They were able to observe and evaluate all the great work that our Eco Council have undertaken namely the adoption of our Eco Code and the monitoring and evaluation of all Eco-School procedures within St Joseph’s.
A massive congratulations goes to the Eco Council members namely Kalleigh, Emer, Hollie, Matthew, Kieva, Paschal, Blake, Andrew, Caitlín and Darragh for all their dedicated hard work. Well done too is relayed to Mrs Toner (Eco-Schools’ Co-ordinator) and Miss Wilcox for their leadership on the project.
Before the end of June we will hold our official flag erecting ceremony while the school Eco Council members will be celebrated at a special ceremony in Warrenpoint Town Hall on the 25th June.
